I had a wonderful experience working in the Lasisi lab, and learned a ton about working in academia and how research is carried out. Evolutionary biology has always been my favorite field of science and I went straight into teaching middle school biology and genetics after graduating. I don't currently work in academia, but the experiences I had in the lab and my courses helped shaped my skillset in education, which I use now in my role creating and delivering education materials.
